IPS has design capabilities that cover a range of disciplines to provide clients with integrated, buildable and cost effective design solutions. As well as being conversant with industry standards within each discipline, we are experienced at working within various design codes and client specific design management systems (including RIBA, GRIP, London Underground, Network Rail and PROMS).

We can undertake design only contracts or design and build contracts and our experience of design and build has taught us the importance of a buildable design that can be constructed and, most importantly, assured so that the transition from the envisaged design to the in-service system is as efficient, timely and cost-effective as possible.

Our Design Service

• Greater flexibility to meet changing demands of clients & programme.

• In-House drawing office – using the latest versions of Microstation and AutoCad.

• IPS acts as a design consultancy, on behalf of the client, to ensure compliance to the relevant Standards as well as providing detailed specifications.

• IPS designers liaise with specialist consultants for Human Factors, EMC and Acoustic Modelling.

• IPS design team partners with other organisations to provide complete design solutions including Cable Management, Lighting & Power, Structural Assurance, Fire and HVAC.

• IPS work closely with communications equipment suppliers to ensure that (where applicable) the latest technology is incorporated into the designs. IPS has amassed a great deal of experience of designing to RIBA stages for comms modernisations and has completed; RIBA Designs to Stage F for Wood Lane Station, Sloane Square Station, and Westbourne Park Station, to RIBA Stage E for Embankment Station and to RIBA Stage D for Template Station and Chancery Lane Station.
