Wood Lane Station
IPS has won the Mechanical & Electrical package at the new Wood Lane Station which will open to coincide with the opening of the Westfield London development.
The station is part of the White City Development, a partnership between London Underground and the developer Westfield, providing many new and improved transport links to the new Westfield London retail and leisure development and the surrounding area.
Wood Lane will be the first new station to be built on an existing London Underground line for more than 70 years!

Our role in the project
With experience gained through previous London Underground projects, IPS has been selected as the sub-contractor to provide the following services:
• Mechanical Services – this installation shall comprise of the detailed design, supply, delivery, positioning, installation, setting to work, testing and commissioning of the station and ancillary areas ventilation, cooling, heating and the controls systems.
• Electrical Services – including lighting installation, cable containment, earthing system and power distribution.
• Communications – including a complete CCTV system (to provide security coverage) including over 75 cameras, intruder alarms, public help point system, Access Control System and a public address/voice evacuation system (PA/VA).
• Public Health Services – including drainage and service supplies.
• Fire & Life Safety System Services.
Installation shall be carried out to LUL standards, and it is proposed that most of the M&E work will be carried out during train operating hours (with some work required during engineering hours).
The station will be located between the existing Shepherd’s Bush Hammersmith & City line and Latimer Road stations on the junction of Wood Lane and Aerial Way.
The project will bring regeneration, jobs and a 21st century transport system to this part of west London.
